Takayama has a lot of great deal of atmosphere views which is seen only in winter.
We would like to introduce 2 courses: casual Takayama city course and short trip course to enjoy the nature.
Takayama City Course
Old town and red Naka-bashi bridge with snow represent Hida’s winter.
Although there are more visitors in summer than winter, we would like to recommend winter to enjoy its beauty.
Today, local photographer Mr. Hiroike teaches us Hida’s best snowscape spots.
Hida-no-Sato is a village museum re-created old lifestyles such as private houses and articles of everyday use. Visitors can enjoy four seasons there, so it is famous for the photography spot.
Gassho Zukuri (traditional farmhouses with thatched roofs) and paddy fields covered with snow is very picturesque.

If you buy a sake book for JPY3,000, you can taste sake, join lottery after collecting stamps and get a souvenir. You can enjoy this event either in one day or a few days.

Short Trip Course
If you come to Takayama, the place to go is the World Heritage Shirakawago. Shirakawago with snow is very beautiful, and it is worth visiting there. We would like to introduce the photogenic spot which is known to those in the know.
Ainokura is a village registered as the World Heritage, and it is one of the Gokayama.
It leaves untouched places more than Shirakawago, so you can enjoy unaffected original scenery.
We would like to introduce some best photography spots such as observation deck and the footpaths between rice fields.
Shinhotaka ropeway is the only one to have double gondola cars in Japan. You can enjoy fantastic view of the nature surrounded Japan Alps. Each season has completely different view. From the observation deck at 2156 meters above sea level, would you like to take 360 degree pictures?
